Christ Church: Blue Horizon: "Beautiful, Friendly and Romantic...."
Date: January 6, 2005
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Blue Horizon Hotel from the 26 December 2004 until the 2 January 2005. The hotel is clean and rather pretty, the staff are really friendly and the pool is beautiful. Rockley beach is stunning and just across the road, perfect for morning walks and swimming during the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The menu is comprehensive and the food was excellent.
Catch a local taxi to Bridgetown and walk towards the Malibu visitor center to tour the distillery and party on the beach!
Barbados was amazing and I cant wait to go again, I would definitely stay at the Blue Horizon again

We're staying at The Savannah! (Yes, we're here right now!) It's Christmas Day and are having a fabulous time. From the Management to the front desk staff and housemaids that service the rooms, the staff are a pleasure to have around - always helpful and willing to please.
Highly recommended to anyone considering visiting Barbados - we will definitely return soon!

On Oct. 1, 2004 started my short but well needed vac. My cousin, Myself & our friend all had a few days off from work and decided that Barbados being about the only caribbean island left that any of us had not been to as yet, we said why not let's go. So we did, and boy are we glad. We stayed at the Savannah Hotel which was absolutely breath taking. The view of the hotel, pool, and ocean from their lovely Boucan Restaurant was just ridiculously beautiful. We had a very short stay but it was absolutely wonderful, the hotel staff,(front desk, bell, and housekeeping)we very nice, and especially the restaurant and bar attendants were great!!!! We went to Cave Shepherd in Bridgetown for shopping which was really nice. On a whole I can say we had a nice time and have recommended people who have asked about our trip to stay at The Savannah Hotel. LOVED IT, Thanks For a Great Time!

The Savannah was a wonderful place to stay.
My husband and I chose the Savannah in Barbados for our honeymoon. We were not disappointed one bit! The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything.
Being off season, it was very quiet, but it was perfect for the two of us as we were honeymooning. Though quiet, the staff certainly didn't seem saddened by that. They were very upbeat, friendly and helpful the entire time!
The pools were great! And as one of the other reviewers noted, one pool twisted and turned throughout the resort and we ended up with a second floor room which had steps leading down to the pool - it was like our own private pool - great for late night dips!
Their beach was small and a little rocky, but it was very quaint and quiet making it quite wonderful. It was like having our own private beach, too! Better swimming conditions (i.e. no rocks) were only a five-minute walk in either direction, so we ended up spending a lot of time there instead of the larger beaches with tons of people about.
The views of the pool and the ocean were breathtaking from the restaurant, both during the day and after dark.
We really appreciated the beautiful rooms, the friendly staff (especially the front desk staff who helped to co-ordinate our off-site adventures!) and the peacefulness and beauty of their resort. We couldn't have asked for more. And we liked being so close to Bridgetown, we went there on a couple of trips.
Though their restaurant - Boucan - had very tasty food, we did venture out to many other restaurants. There were so many to try in Barbados.
Definitely two thumbs up for this resort!

Time Out at the Gap,Dover, Christ Church. "I loved it!"
I went to Barbados for Crop Over and I stayed at Time Out, all I can say is that it was the best vacation I had in a long time. The staff was friendly and the place was beautiful. The great thing about the hotel for me is the location, the nightlife was fantastic. I could just walk down the road to the Ship Inn or After Dark Clubs and the good thing is that it is not too close, so if you want to have a quiet night inside, you won't be disturbed by the music.

On 7th September, Hurricane Ivan struck Barbados whilst we were guests of The Savannah Hotel.
It was the first time any of us had gone through such an experience and the staff at the hotel were simply brilliant.
It must have been very trying for them to be away from their families, but nevertheless it was as if they really cared for the guests and " treated us like Royalty."
Everyone went out of their way to make us happy and comfortable and we all want to say a big Thank You to all concerned.
We will definitely be back in Barbados very soon and of course will stay at The Savannah.

I would like to use this opportunity to let the world know what excellent service my wife and I received whilst staying at Blue Horizon Hotel during the passage of Hurricane Ivan on the 7th of September, 2004.
Having previously experienced two major hurricanes in the Caribbean, the service and overall caring attitude of all the staff at the Blue Horizon Hotel was simply amazing and went a long way in making us feel relaxed and as calm as possible.
Congratulations to Management and all of the staff and may God continue to richly reward and bless you.

We wanted to say how much we appreciated our stay at the Savannah Hotel during and after Tropical Storm Ivan. The prompt action of management in moving us from Silver Rock was much appreciated.
The professionalism of staff during the storm was incredible as they must have been worried about their own families and homes.
Please pass our thanks to everyone involved.

I have stayed at Blue Horixon at least ten times from 1997-2001. Traveling on business, I was welcomed back each time. The staff is wonderful and the improvements they have made to this great hotel are wonderful.
There is so much available to you within a short walk from this hotel.
